Can we copy many other countries which sell fruit and vegetables loose. Customers take the amount they need in a paper or recyclable/reusable box weigh it them selves an stick a label on which give checkout operator a picture or word describing contents and the price
Much prefer loose fruit & veg so I only buy exactly what we need therefore have no waste. Any waste we do have goes in the wormery except for citrus.
In some shops they have a box of loose veg right next to the shrink wrapped variety. Which makes a total nonsense of the argument that plastic packaging is necessary.
